Sometimes the question is not clear and futher information is needed! Most of the questions I ask are stand alone questions so mine usually aren't controlling.

Yes, I use it all the time with my kids. Either you can go to your room or stop such and such bad behavior. LOL---always an easy question to answer for them(=
We are both happy in the end. We both feel like we have control.
Really though I think it depends on intent.
Yes/No questions in court can be very controlling of what a jury thinks.

What would we be controlling? I think it is more that people just like to talk and give opinions. Typing answers is a way of talking and giving our opinions
