The seats get a lot of sun damage over the years, the best way to know the actual color and that is assuming it is original is to look under the seat where it is out of the sun. Try pulling the rear seat also to see the actual color. I have a 1962 Galaxie and at first glance when I bought it you would think it was beige with a burgandy interior, after a full scrubbing inside and out it was wimbledon white with a red interior. If it is the original interior you might want to try using some good cleaner on the seats and try to bring out the real color but after all these years who knows what seats it has in it now. There are loads of Mustang resto places that can get you the right colors.

the sun coming through the window especially in the summer will fade any material after a while. I usually try to use carpet and upholstery cleaner to keep the rugs and upholstery like new hoping the treatment will prolong fading. I've been lucky so far.

Any material fades in the present of sunlight. To reduce this, you can buy the windshield shades to block the sunlight and minimize exposure.
