Well. Cloning is not necessarily a bad thing. Most people do not understand what cloning actually is. True a cloned individual will have the same genome as their progentior, but the two people would look no more similar than a pair of identical twins and would have different fingerprints also. Cloning people is pointless because we already possess a sufficient reproductive capacity, but there is no point in preventing people from the pursuit of knowledge. If someone wants to clone a person let them. Cloning animals for agricultural purposes may indeed be quite useful and should be encouraged becuase this would assist in increasing the output of certain crops or livestock if the most porductive individuals are cloned.

Hi:
I, for one, support therapeutic cloning. All the other answers here miss one point, being caught up in all the hype created by the media on cloning. There are people suffering from diseases and therapeutic cloning could be the answer to their problems. This would be a boon to these people.
And the clone of a genius could well be a dumbass lookalike because the environment of upbringing and other influences play a huge role in how a person shapes up in life.
Cheers!

CLONE ME!!!! PLEASE, CLONE ME!!!!LOL, not only my mothers nightmare of 100 of me but it would be great fun, lol, would be the "white gang" lol. sounds like too much fun for me to handle, lol. but seriously. it has supirior medical breakthrue becuse they dont have to clone a person, they already can clone whole organs for transplants in medical paitents with big problems, i think this is a good use. evil people like me shouldent be cloned, wouldent be a good thing just to proove a point were this could go if they did it wrong; you can be a clone and actualy remember your original coppy's memorys becuse of the minute electrical discharche the brain produces otherwise known as brain waves can actualy imprint on another human being, especialy if the clone was made from this grey matter which i also possable in science. there fore, by keeping a "human clone" in a comatose type state untill an equil age of the original, is verry likely to produce precognitive thot patterns which stems from memorys. kind of a constant freeky dejavoo all the time. i realy dont have a standing on this matter becuse there are actualy good uses for it, if a diseas was wiping us out or a serious world wide destructive thing happened, our specieis would be saved, so i think that the ability and knowledge should be preserved for our own preservation and safety at the verry least. watch eon flux the movie, it poses a possability in our industrious age of technowledgy and nucular capibilitys and viral warfare. sadly, that movie resedent evel, the first on, not the second one, isent far ither from a possabilty with the reaserch labs we DO actualy have underground. it is firmly belived that proctor and gamble have at least 5 of these such reaserch sites that do illigal experimentation for our goverment. there is firmly belived to be no less than 3 mager international conglomerit corporations to ither be co-working on similar projects for the past 10+ years secretly and individual interests. so consider your doom. it can happen when carlessness dose and intelegence is overpowered by ignorance and lack of concern.- i dont worry about such things tho becuse it wont bring anything more than fear and hate and misunderstanding of the real truth we all dont know still yet, no, just live your life and make it a good and happy one. its best to leave science to the scientists who know more about what they are doing than you. or at least ask one facts in a way you can relate to and therefor understand in this way you will comprehend and know better about such things.

Clone them all and let God sort them out.
The more the merrier.
Never meet a clone I didn't like.
Some of my best friends are clones.

I think cloning is something that should be researched a little more before it's actaul attempted.

We as humans can only delay progress. Government have often tried to enforce what they feel are moral laws, but in the long run without success.
