RE:
What are polish people famous for?

Beautiful, only the females, they are indeed amazing often(at least while they are young..)
Men look like coming out from a Picasso, huge noses, and rather funny faces. bulky, and often not much of a brain up there just up for manual working and drinking lots, and going to church every Sunday.
I agree they are hardworking generally, but also create lots of unnecessary problems at work, like being pushy, bossy, and often two faced.

You have to remember how some of the men fought against the Germans during the Battle of Britain - Polish and Czech pilots flew with the RAF, and as payback they fought hard and scored quite well against the Luftwaffe!

Remember in the Bridge too Far, they used Polish soldiers in that too - unfortunately played by Gene Hackman - bad Polish accent!

Hospitality. I was surprised when I traveled around Poland to discover that a people with such a tragic history can be so nice and friendly. The like to drink beer, eat sausages, sing, dance and...treking...that people like to walk on the mountanside. I encourage every one to visit Poland. Krakow, Lublin, Zamosc, Wroclaw, Zakopane (Trata mountains) are great but don't forget small town Poland. And dont forget to say djenkue...(thank you) every time you get a Zywiec beer.

Polished Shoes
Polished Floors
Polished Furniture
Polished Food from plates
Polished language

Etc
You will fine at least one of each of these in every house hold so that means they are famous.

They are also famous for being unfortunate enough to be located in the middle of Europe where idilogical wars have taken place. Many of them have died and still nothing really sorted.

Afghanistan is similar to Poland in that respect.

All my male friends say Polish girls are really nice looking. Unfortunately nobody in the west has ever seen an Afghan lady enough to decide how she looks. Just two eyes through a slit in the vail.
