and so I will ask the question why do you feel they make lousy drivers? I am also curious as to why it is do you think that they have lower insurance rates? I already know the answers here statistically women are better drivers than men I just wanted to hear what your thoughts on this were

It is correct to say that both sexes can be bad drivers. The issue of a persons gender does not determine the level of their driving skills.
To insurance companies females are considered to be more cautious. Here is the exception:
In the last 10 years when the studies were done and the statistics were gathered the margin between the number of accidents that men had compared to the number of accidents that women had narrowed.
In other words women drivers are becoming less catious. It is possible for someone to be overly cautious and actually cause more road hazards for other drivers.

I have traveled all over the States (48) and find this to be generally true, and my wife would say the same. I find more women travel in the left lane of the highway when the other lanes are clear and they are doing about the limit. This is illegal. Many women are afraid to pass trucks or buses, and keep traffic behind them from doing so. Again, this is not all women. Some men do this, but not most.

Some men are just ignorant and have a prejudice that women are always less good drivers than themselves. Don't mind.
