All those who are not answering the question or are just name calling or making specious political comments have been reported for abuse.

And abortionguy, you have been reported for spam.

Sounds sensible doesn't it? It would be what a person of integrity and honesty would do. Unfortunately Bush is not that.

We have tried in the past, you know!

The part most people have difficulty with is determining when conditions appear right to intervene and come to the aid of a nation's people, crying for democracy and civil liberties.

Many African nations are without the infrastructure, natural resources, and viable middle class system to promote a democracy movement. Iraq has all those, and are much more educated (Iraq has more college grads than most of it's neighbors). Democracy must be supported by intellect, and the truth to the matter is that most of Africa is still a bit too uncivilized.

My friend this is what the United nations was created for but as you can see they have been doing a pitiful job, ex Cambodia Bosnia, Sudan, Rwanda, I am sad to say if we got involve in trying to advanced freedom and justice in Africa we would be condemned by most of the world and the democrats in this country.

First of all, we don't want to do any of that evil 'unilateralism', especially without the blessing of the UN. So, the US will wait until Kofi Anus decides enough people have died waiting in vain for the UN to protect them.

I suppose we should ask 800,000 Rwandans about the help they received from the UN, but their voices are apparently muffled by the 6 feet of dirt they're buried under.

In Sudan the situation is bleak due to a 20 year civil war that has cost 2 million lives.

The UN needs to stand up, and send in a strong international force to help the innocent people of Sudan by bringing food, economic opportunities, and to end the civil war.

If we did, the Democrats would surrender, just like Clinton did in Africa during the 90's.
It's a terrible thing in Africa.
It's the UN's job, but it is worthless.

Missionaries are already there helping the Africans live a better life.
The churches are helping Africans, they dont need troops unless war breaks out over there.

What about the people here who kill 4000 innocent Americans a day. That is worse than Africa.

Everyday I see people on here wanting us out of Iraq. Most say the country is in a civil war. Now you want us to go jump into a civil war in Darfur. Lets see how many that want to leave Iraq are willing to go to Darfur? Let us hear from you!
