I bought new tires for my motor home, and the shop couldn't balance tires in my size. They said they didn't need balancing. I've only driven on them for a short distance and it seems OK; however, should I balance them? Has anyone used the balancing powder? If so, what has been your experience.

Yes you should check the balance of your tires.
How the heck can the shop that sold and installed your tires that can not balance them know if they need balancing or not with out a tire balance machine to check them.
I'm sorry, but there idiots for stating that. Every tire when newly installed needs to be checked for proper balance.
Go get them balanced @ a tire shop that can do that size tire. They must have an old out of date tire balancing machine to not be able to accomodate truck tires.

thats a good sized tire u probably wont notice it unless your at high speeds but i would have them balanced if you want them to be true and last and would not waste the money with the powder need to go with the weights a truck repairs shop can do that for you.

the powder is what most truckers use it works great i seen a tire put on a machene and they balanced it wrong on purpose added the powder and it fixed it no mater where they moved the weights

only people who work on big rigs will get this one

balance them.. ask an rv dealer who does it. out of balance even a tiny bit affects braking and steering and can really wear out your wheel bearings...
