Hmmm Interesting question. I've been through a few things that were quite terryfying, so i had to think about this one. But one thing came out on top. I won't go into too much detail because of all the idiots on here, but i'll just say it was when i was a young girl and the realisation hit me that the nice policeman that i had placed my trust in was quite possibly going to kill me.
Which is also the reason that uniforms now do absolutely nothing for me..

I guess a car wreck I was in a few years back was the most frightening thing that happened to me personally. However, I think I was MORE frightened in general on 9/11.

The most frightening thing that has ever happened to me was when my mom and I were on the greyhound bus coming to New York City and the bus hit a deer and we almost crashed and tipped over a bridge. In that point of time I was thinking about how I could of done better in my life and made better choices.

When Lolita (my shih-tzu) started convulzing in front of me and she couldn't hear me or anything, lolita had trouble breathing, and it seemed like she was sweating, I mean there was drool all over her; her eyes were unfocused, I was by myself because everyone was at a christmas party and I was a minor back then, no-one picked the phone up, I was rollerskating with Lolita so I had my skates on, and I couldn't stop crying and my neighbours eren't there, I couldn't find anyone to ask for help. Lolita died that day, she was my best friend and I lost her because most of the vet offices were closed due to the whole christmas thing, so Lolita died and I don't know it was the worst thing because it was the first time in my life when I had no idea on what to do and I couldn't save my best friend... it was really sad frightening and helpless.

sitting at a stop light...i looked up and it had been green for a few seconds. I started to go and then here comes a dump truck at about 60 mph and blows through the adjacent stop light.

If I had gone when it turned green, I would have been splattered. This was 2 years ago, and I won't forget that jerk.

I think that the question you just asked is a very good question. I think it depends on who you ask. Some might see it one way while others might see it the other way. If i had to answer, i would say that when i was driving i pulled off to the side in a rest area.

i was sleeping in teh car, and when i woke up, there was a guy trying to get in the car.

I was horseback riding and we were going across a bridge. The others made it across. My horse went through some rotten boards and got stuck. We had to pull his legs up and then roll him off the bridge because if he stood up he was going to fall through again. It was so scary for him and us. This was 20 some years ago and I still get chills. It could have turned out so bad. I am grateful to all the people who helped save him.

A crazy man threw a brick through our front window and then stuck his head through and screamed. We were all kids at the time, and my Mum was a single mum bringing all 6 of us up. I have never heard her scream like she did that night. She hasn't felt safe in the house since. We stayed at my grandads house for 2 weeks, before moving back home. the crazy man was never caught, or brought to justice!!!

When I was living with my parents we had a robber break into our garage and try to break down our sliding glass door with a metal pipe. The police had one cop car, which was 2 towns away, and he couldn't find our house and got lost. It took him 40 minutes to get to our house with the robber beating the hell out of our tempered glass door until SHE finally gave up. She was drunk, went to our neighbors and tried to break down their door, then got caught at a farm market when she finally broke in and got caught by alarm systems. Good thing she didn't break thru our door because I was standing guard over my parents with a shotgun - which I was ready to use.
By the way, she fabricated a story that she had been victim of attempted rape and was seeking help. She got off scott free.
