Certainly NOT the one you get in the paper. I think if you go to a professional astrologist and have a computer-generated life reading, you can see some eerily on target information there that you can either pay attention to, or not...

Try this; Don't read it until the end of the day, and you will see if it was right or wrong. If you find a horoscope that hits you dead on everyday, then you can have something to believe in. I think it is mostly just good advise, and nothing more, although sometimes mine hits me dead on, so it's hard not to wonder in the back of your mind. People do act funny when it's a full moon, and studies have confirmed this! What about these people that claim to tell the future? I see this lady on the Montel Williams show all the time that claims she knows things, but I think IF she knew things, then why don't she win the lottery and retire? Have a good day!!!

Astrology uses science but is not a science. Constancy is important is science and the last thing constant is astrology. Using science words does not make it a science.
I fail to see artistic value in there too. Where is the creativity other than making general guesses. Art appeals to eyes and ears.
Having an "open mind" does mean it's real. You also have to be open minded to being possibly wrong. Backing up claims with independent and testable evidence would be like building the better mouse trap.
Below are two links. One is for a good explanation of what is science is. The second is a Baloney Detection Kit by Carl Sagan.

Yes I do, but to read only ones Sun sign, or (Newspaper,Horoscope) is to use
Astrology in it's weakest form. So to think people can be accurate with a newspaper horoscope, would only be right, about 1/12th of the time.To use a complete Astrological chart of the exact time, and location of birth, is absolutely always constant.
Astrology is a system (communication) a perfectly logical system that's often described as equal parts "science" and "art". Whatever you call it, it works. Honest.
We're dealing with the planets here, and planets are real. I've seen them. So have you. NASA's even got snapshots. Planets are so "real" in fact , that they follow real orbits, consistent enough to put into mathematical tables. Planets don't need you or me to "believe" in them, and I think it's safe to say they won't disappear, even if we reclassify ( Pluto ) them.
So it's not about believing. It's about (communication) understanding yourself, and others better. About drawing parallels between the movements of real planets in our universe, that follow precise mathematical orbits.
If you have an open mind, and want to learn a brand knew way to (communicate) in a language that will fascinate, befuddle, educate, and enlighten you. Then explore for yourself, and other peoples, a new language.Remember belief is not required, an open mind is.

I don't believe that horoscopes can predict the future, but I do believe that people embody the characteristics of the sign(s) that they were born under. But I do read my horoscopes just for fun.

Well somewhat of what is said in horoscopes are true and they really hit the point and describe my personality. But I don't believe everything and I rarely read my horoscope anymore. Horoscopes are good at describing your personality, but other than that I don't really believe anything else that is said. There was only one time I was surprise by the information I recieved from a compatablity report and it said somethings that were true about me and my bf relationship but I don't live my life on what is said in those reports. I instead live my life on what i really know.

I believe in the zodiac signs. Some horoscopes are very on point and some are not. I do believe that whatever sign most people are born under have a lot of similarities. I have yet to see someone that does not have some of the characteristics of his/her sign.

I am a cancer and usually my horoscopes, no matter where I find them, are right!
It's kinda creepy.
This one day, I was reading my horoscope, and it said that I would experience great emotional pain around noon.
At 1:03, my ex-boyfriend's mom told called me and told me he had been hit by a car.
My horoscopes are usually always right. I dread the days I have bad horoscopes.

Although I am addicted to reading them online and in the paper, I don't take much stock in them. Sometimes they can be a little too close to reality but they are good for a laugh.
