my frnd had sex with her bf some time ago last month her periods were ok but this months she skipped one does this mean she could be pregnant? and what are the other symptoms of pregnancy? is there any other reason for the skipped period? please help me please

girls skip periods all the time. my friend had had sex then skipped a period. then the stress of thinking she may be pregnant caused more skipped periods! she didn't get her periods until she took a test which turned out negative and relaxed a little.

Periods may be skipped due to several reasons. Pregnancy can not be diagnosed by symptoms. Usually no periods come after getting pregnant and after having sex if a period came, for all practical purposes pregnancy is not expected. The definite test for pregnancy is an ultrasound examination after 15 days delay of the period.
And in the last one unwanted suggestion.... Sex should not be so unplanned like this, sorry if it hurts U.

Like everyone else has said, you can skip a period for any reason. She could even be experiencing a "phantom pregnancy" which is when you think you might be pregnant and your body tends to behave like you are but most likely carrying an unfertilised egg. If you friend is afraid to ask for a test at the pharmacy, you can get them from coles etc also. Don't be scared. Best thing to do is take a test and then deal with it from there. Good luck ;)

if she is otherwise healthy yes she could be pregnant, the health department can do a pregnancy test for her, and if she's not pregnant they will provide her with birth control (regardless of age and parents knowing)
some signs of pregnancy are swollen or tender breast, felling tired, nausea, increased need to urinate.
Other reasons for skipped periods could be increased exercise or dieting, hormone imbalance. If she is not pregnant she should see an OB/GYN just to make sure nothing is going on in there. Good Luck

If she missed her period there is a possibilty that she can be pregnant. EPT is an over the counter pregnancy test that she can take to find out at home.
Other symptoms include breast tenderness, morning sickness, mood changes.

If she had her period after having sex, she isn't pregnant. She probably missed her period this time around because she is worried.

if shes had a period or two since having sex, i doubt she is pregnant, although it is possible. she should take a test if she has a doubt. she can miss a period for a lot of reasons. stress, diet and excercise, etc...
