a man stands in the middle of a perfectly smooth ,frictionless lake.he can set himself into motion by throwing things ,but suppose he has nothing to throw ,can he propel himself to the shore of the lake without throwing anything???????????//

He could use his breath to blow himself to the shore. Or he could take it out and urinate his way to shore. Or he could spit his way.

As soon as the wind blows......... Blowing from his mouth would propel him to the shore. The question was "Can he propel himself to the shore without throwing anything?"
