I banged my head really hard getting into my car last thursday and almost knocked myself out. Though there is no mark on my forehead at all, it is still really painful to touch and for the past week I have been feeling faint, dizzy, nauseus, stiff in my neck, and have had a splitting headache despite munching pain killers. Is this concussion? Should I see a doctor? How long will it last? It's driving me nuts, I feel drunk all the time. Any advice?

You really need to seek medical help immediately ! I'm not one for running to the docs but sounds like concussion to me which can be really serious. Please get it checked out - if it's not serious at least it will put your mind at rest !

coming from someone that has had a concussion sounds like it. Iwould do two things get a headon stick and rub it on your head for the headach. second I would have a family member or friend take you to get checked out. Do not drive yourself if you are having that faint feeling, you could black out at the wheel and really get hurt or worse killed. you also need to make a small jurnal of what happened

Definitely get off Answers and go to A&E - now! You may have had some bleeding inside your head - your symptoms indicate both concussion or a bleed and niether should be ignored!

Go to Accident & Emergency to let the people who know best decide and then you can have treatment if you need it. Also listen to their advice on how to look after yourself. An example would be don't use heavy machinery! But you know what I mean.

You poor things - it's concussion. Something similar happened to me and I was signed off work for a week by my Dr. I lived on my own and was told to go and stay with someone or have someone stay with me and not to have a bath if I was in the house alone and not to lock the door so I could be checked on in case I passed out. Please, please, go to your Dr and get it checked out.
