I recently bought two orandas on Sunday. I have a Cold water BiOrb with 7 minnows and 2 fantails. I give them flakes and pellets everyday. The two fantails eat both ok. The two orandas on the otherhand seem to not know what food is! lol. 1st they only ate the flakes that sank towards the bottom. now one of them has learnt about the pellets. I'm worried about my other orandas who seems not to be able to eat. It swims around opening and closing its mouth trying to eat the food but it never seems to eat any and hardly never comes for the pellets only for the bubbles and swims back down. and also it looks lethargic, just floating around most of the time. Is there any thing i can do, or just leave it continue feeding normally. Thanks for help.

Stop feeding the fish for a day or three.
Do a 20% water change with dechlorinated cold tap water.
After a few days the fish should come around. Feed very sparingly - hunger will trigger feeding behavior. Underfeeding for a few days won't hurt your other fish.

Either test your water or get it tested at a store. 4 goldfish plus 7 minnows is way overstocked in those BiOrbs. Goldfish need a minimum if 10 gallons each. If your ammonia or nitrite is more then zero it can kill your fish, so you will have to do water changes to bring them down if they are higher then that. In a tank that small and with that many fish it will be hard to keep that water safe.

Read up on cycling a tank and think about getting a bigger one with a better filter if you would like to see them fish live. Here is a great website that can teach you what those goldies need, http://kokosgoldfish.com/

Unfortunately, many fish from pet stores already come pre-loaded with a myriad of diseases. It sounds like yours might be diseased, and the "floating around" does not sound too good. I agree that you should test your water and make necessary adjustments. If the fish lives long enough, you could try giving it some sort of live food. There are many fish breeders who sell live cultures of worms and many other live foods for next to nothing on Aquabid.com. You just want to make sure that you order something large enough for the goldfish to see and eat. I've had fish that have lost interest in food completely, but when they see something wriggling around in front of them, they can't resist. If you are on a time crunch (which it sounds like you are), you might want to try going to a local bait store and finding something big enough for the fish to see, but small enough so it does not choke (no nightcrawlers!). I would also isolate these two new fish (if possible) from your old ones ASAP. If one fish in the tank gets sick with something parasitic, bacterial, or fungal, it can wipe out your entire tank. Good luck.

Try giving them a larger variety of food, or moving them to a separet tank. I've had the same problem with Orandas before

I'd have a chat with the fish shop where you bought them, it sounds like you've got a dodgy one.
