USB1 is installed on my pc, can i change it to higher speed USB2?

There is a difference in hardware, not just software, between USB1 and 2. You might have USB 1 hardware in which case there is nothing you can do except get a new motherboard or get a USB 2.0 PCI expansion card.

You need to purchase a USB2 card and install it. I did it a couple of years ago. I think I paid $20 at Staples and it took about 10 minutes to open the case and install it.

It is different hardware. You can go get a USB2 PCI card.

Usually you can change the usb settings in the bios or in whatever operating system you are using, you cannot get 3 as your motherboard doesn't support it

if u have a usb 2.0 on ur mother board. install usb 2.0 driver with in ur motherboard CD. if u have not kindly purchase & install usb 2.0 pci card for using 2.0 option
