you can find friends anywhere, just decide on what kind of friends you need.if you want someone to be around and join you in things you do, then look around- if you are yourself someone will like you for who you are. if you have been hurt by people's indifference, join an internet site and get penpals.
I myself don't have close/true friends around- or maybe i don't think they are this way to me!- but when i had problems and needed support friends on the net gave me a helping hand.
members of yahoo answers are automatically friendly, otherwise they wouldn't be here! so count me among your friends too.

I used to have the same situation and its true need to get out of the house and go to things u would/wouldnt normally dont do whether it be church, gym, library, dances, anything people gather at and u will be rewarded getting to know someone. dont be shy and talk to people sometimes you will strike up a friendship with small conversation.
