That actually happened to me when I was playing the piano for a choir. I sneezed and saw a bit fly out, and it landed on the lid and sort of dangled about a bit. In full view of all the audience. Talk about embarrassing!

if you are singing just turn away from the mic long enough to sneeze i dont think anyone would miss a word or two in the lyrics. ive played guitar in bands for 16 yrs. things like that happen alot. and there is nothing you can do about it. but i only sing a couple of the songs my band plays so im not aleays in front of the mic, so its easy for me, i would just let the sneeze rip, and hope like he!! i dont blow snot all over myself or on my guitar.

I'd just sneeze if the urge was that bad. Even as a performer, I'm still only human.
It was probably that old lady in the front row wearing too much perfume, anyway. :-)

Usually you can't stop a sneeze so you have to just let it out!

Sneeze then at a suitable moment say to the audience "there you go, just to prove it's live". this also works if you screw up the words, "just to make sure you are listening" covers the dry up equally as well.

It's very hard to sneeze while singing! But if you really do, just keep going.
