For the European races, each team is allowed to park two transporters at the back of their pit garage. The transporters are used to ship the cars and the equipment, tools, spare parts, etc.
For the races outside Europe, the teams based in England transport the cars and equipment to Stanstead Airport where it is sent by cargo plane. Ferrari, BMW-Sauber and Toro Rosso leave from Milan Airport.
Each team is also allowed to park a motorhome in the paddock and set up a hospitality area, where guests are entertained.

When each circuit is on the same landmass and are relatively close to each other, they use specially designed trucks.
However, if they want to go from Spain to Canada for example, they use giant cargo planes which are easily the largest cargo planes that can fly today. I don't know how many Formula One teams can share one plane - if at all because there's a large amount of staff and highly technical equipment that accompany each team - but I promise you that's how it's done :-)
If you go to www.itv.com and follow the links to the Formula One page, you may find more information there :-)

For European races the cars are tranpsorted in team trucks. They normally take the nose cones off as well as the race wheels and then add very thin wheels and tyres to get the cars inside the trucks. For long haul races they dismantle the cars in a similar manner and then put them in special containers for air freight. Lufthansa used to be the carrier for F1, I'm not sure if that's still the case.
To the idiot who asked how they get the trucks to mainland Europe, it's the same way you take your car there for holiday! Channel tunnel or ferry.

maximum journeys are by technique of truck, with the autos loaded onto ferries for short sea crossings (e.g. the English Channel), or by technique of Eurotunnel. For longer journeys (e.g. intercontinental) the autos from all the communities are loaded onto plane fairly chartered by technique of the F1 organization. communities which have scored factors contained in the previous season get this shipping presented loose, yet those that did not score factors the previous season ought to pay for the shipping.

They are transported by truck when it comes to racing in Europe, but when it comes to the flyaways, then it's by plane.
And usually, the trucks are specially built to transport equipment and, at the track, be dismantled and re-worked together into the motorhomes.
