I've heard her say in an interview that she's mixed with a few things, but she considers herself a Black woman. If someone were to ask her what she is, she said she would say she is Black.

I just saw an E! show about her and know that Lionel Ritchie is not her biological father, it was one of his bandmates kids, and I don't know if they knew who the mother was.
Maybe you could go to the the E! website and see if they have the information from that show about her.

She is mixed. Her father is African American, her mother is white. I saw them on TV a while ago.

on ET i saw a reportage they said the father was mexican the mother white. she is mixed.
