I just love the fact that Democrats have proclaimed themselves the winners. Gee, should we even have the election since we already know who's going to win? Whether Democrats win or not is irrelevant to your question. The reason is because to date there have not been provable impeachable offenses presented. While impeachment can be brought by a simple majority in the House it requires a 2/3 majority in the Senate to remove a sitting president and win or not the Democrats will not possess this majority. Therefore it becomes merely a costly exercise in futility. I am not a Republican, I am an Independent, but I will tell you this regarding impeachment procedures. If the Democrats win a majority and bring impeachment they will lose miserably at the polls in 2008. The reason for this is because the majority of Americans have expressed discontent with the idea of impeachment and they will lash out against the Democrats in response if they try it and especially if they fail which is the most likely outcome.
mrfoxhorn: Bill Clinton was not impeached for sexual acts. Mr. Clinton was impeached for lying under oath and obstruction of justice. To date no one has presented valid proof that Mr. Bush has lied about anything, but I do find it amusing that so many people want Mr. Bush impeached for lying, while at the same time giving a pass to Mr. Clinton for committing the same offense and having it proved beyond a shadow of a doubt. The hypocrisy is just laughable.

If Bush violated the law, investigations for impeachment should start. A president can not be impeached simply because someone or a group of people SAY he violated laws. The requirement is for there to be actual factual evidence. As far as starting next year, I do not understand that reasoning. If you have the evidence, why are you waiting until next year? If it is because you think the democrats are going to control both the house and senate, you may be wrong. And if you were wrong and you have the evidence, you are allowing a criminal to stay in office as the president of the USA.

I think you mean "impeached" and the answer is NO. We are not privvy to the facts that the President and his cabinet have available. You can't say you'd make different decisions without knowing all the facts.
George W. Bush has done one heck of a job and stood his ground on the important stuff. I like him and respect him. I don't agree with every decision he's made, and I don't agree 100% with what the Republican party takes as its position on some things. But the only time I would not vote Republican is when I don't make it to the polls.

Why would the Republicans want to impeach Bush. Even if the Democrats win control, they don't actually take office until January.

I am not sure what law he violated in November, but there are plenty of other laws he has violated. The problem is the House would have to impeach him and the Senate would then have to judge him. That is not going to happen when Republicans control both houses. Sorry.

There are NO violations of the law. There is NOTHING impeachable. When will you people try and learn about what really has transpired and learn about how impeachment works?

WHAT violations of the law? I have found none, absolutely NONE, that are unprecedented.
So my answer is absolutely not. He's out of the White House in 2009. Get over it.

The US controls the UN, and Bush controls the US. He is not getting impeached, although he is a moral shame in the eyes of the world for the rest of history. That is his punishment
