I'm here now dressed as Marie Antoinnette. Funny, it never really occurred to me that modern office furniture doesn't go well with these wide, long, flowing gowns.

Oh yes, deffinately if it's permitted. I'm going to be a cheerleader this year. Should be, um .... interesting sitting in my cube like that all day. Hope I don't have any meetings to go to - hehe.
Lucky I don't have to worry about navigating things though like Viki (laughing at the image of you trying to get through doors and around office clutter - hehe), my outfit, outside of the embarrasment factor which is I think a 9 here, should be pretty easy to run around and work in.
Costumes at work make both Work and Halloween fun!

I have for the last 10 years because my company has a costume contest. If you think you'll feel embarrassed, bring a set of work clothes to change into, just in case. Last year 2 of my friends and I dressed up Gothic style. A word of warning - that cheap spray on hair color is the devil to wash out !!

If you feel comfortable dressing up, go for it! Just makes sure it'll be something that you're comfortable wearing at work. Like, nothing too revealing, or clumsy and awkward. You want to be able to still move around easily, and meet with other people if you have to. But if you're boss allows it, sure! It's only one day a year to dress up and have fun like that.

If you feel comfortable wearing a costume, go for it!
Chose something that will be comfortable to wear all day at work.
Remember you are at work, so keep pretty well covered up as you would in your regular work clothes. Save the peek-a-boo outfits for the private parties.
Pick out something that is fun for you. If you are handy with a needle, you could make your own costume.

First of all I would ask if any other people where you work are doing it. The I would dress up as an Ice Queen. Nice and sparkly! Check with the boss too ;)

Yeah! My old dept used to dress up and decorate every year but since I got promoted, I'm stuck with corporate boring people. But for halloween I think I'm going to wear my usual suit with pink or blue hair.

If people at work are then why not. It just gives you an excuse to act like a kid again. I am going as a 50's girl this halloween..
