They do, the current World Champion is The Tortoise of Battle Creek, who successfully defended his title during the July competition held in Jakarta. His opponent was the the Terrible Terrapin of Tibet, who weighed in at just over 2.5kg, no match for the General of the feared Galapagos Tortoise Republican Guard Brigade, who came in at an astounding 105kg.

It was a short and brutal encounter, and let's just say that the General has a new ashtray these days...

Yes - oh my god I had almost forgotten about conkers! My family moved to Australia when I was nine and as far as I know we dont have conkers here. My sister and I would spend the weekends filling shopping bags with conkers - just to play throughout the week and take a good suppy to school with us also. What a wonderfull free game that gets u outdoors firstly to find the conkers and the game isn't computer generated! Oh the memories....BUT YES IT WOULD BE CHEATING...

How about tortoise skimming across lakes and rivers. Don't use turtles though, they'll swim away.

I doubt it, do you know how much a tortoise costs?
Would have to be well off in the bank and sick in the head if they did!
