It's in reference to bloody movies.
Surgery is considered 'gorey' to most of us because the surgeon handles blood, gore and guts and hearts and kidneys all the time.
"Gore" I think is actually in reference to the liquid that oozes from open wounds or the slime that lines muscles and body organs and not really blood. Somehow, blood became known as 'gore' though.

movies that are Gorey are just full of blood and guts, they are not scary and are not Horror movies they are just stupid I love Horror movies and Gorey movies like Saw and Hostel are just stupid and gross. Not every Horror or scary movie has to show lots of blood and killing
