I agree. The big stage can be a lot for the youngsters. Making the WS is one thing; winning it is another. The errors tht the Tigers have made have shown their inexperience and how they are trying to do too much.

I think that may be a small part of it but I think that some of these better and more experienced players buck when the pressure is on. I have seen the big dogs on the teams in this series not come through when it count and the peons are making it happen. I think that in this case the Cardinals peons are out shining the Tigers. Sometimes when the players that are use to holding the team together crack, the other team-mates have to step up to the plate and for the Tigers this is not happening.

You can speculate and get angry about the Tigers in the WS but the simple fact is - THEY BEAT THE OTHER TEAMS. I don't know if I can call holding the best record in MLB for the majority of the season a season of "streaks." The only streak I noticed was the bad one at the end of the season.
Inexperience - absolutely! Monroe's missed catch, Granderson's slip, the flubbed pitch that got away from Pudge and advanced the runner to 2nd, Rodney's bad throw to 1st. They cumulated to put the Cards back in the game.
They will be a HUGE threat next year!

Yes the Tigers are showing how tough it is to win a Championship, The Cardinals have been there done that,so they know what it takes. As to vertil7 the best 2 teams are in the WS, but you can keep crying that your so-called better team is sitting at home watching. And if you dont like the WS dont watch, spring training is just 4 months away

The cardinals are going to win the world series because they have way more experience in the post season..think back in 2004 when the got swept by the red sox..then in 2005 they went to the post season..and again this year...tigers only made it this year and they played a heck of a series with the yankees and A's..but they might have to wait.

it has hurt them
now wrepete wants to talk about inexperience.
how about your inexperience in not doing your homework?
dissing the cardinals
records don't mean squat when you're on the field
one super bowl the 10-6 49ers were favorites over the 12-4 bengals because they were a better all-around team
i'm a tigers fan, but you have to give the cards their due

Yes, It did hurt them, Remember most of these guys are only 2 years from AA bseball in Erie, I remember them, we have season tickets for the Seawolves, You could see how good they are but never had this pressure in AA, can't wait for next year when all of this was a learning tool. The Tigers have one of the best minor leagues in the American League.

it has everything to do with the outcome of this series so far st.louis has done everything almost completely flawless while everything the tigers have done has been anything but easy and that's why the tigers most likely will not be champs this year

That could be a part of it.
However, they did get here by playing professionaly, and should be able to maintain that.
The experience they are getting NOW we only help them next year.
St Louis is playing better baseball right now, and IF they win they will deserve it.
