Do you think it's justified to download music free from the internet?
(Not talking about moral obligations...just justifications for and against)

i don't know

downloading music for free may be stealing

but, honestly.... if somebody stole my WORK, i don't think I'd complain

there is so much music out there.... more artists today than there ever was.... maybe downloading music is the way to 'thin the herd' ..... this way only people that sing for the love of singing & not greed will keep singing

We make our own justifications in life. It really is as simple as that. The fact is that file sharing over the net IS illegal. Which leaves one very simple choice; do you cross the line or not.

This is why a good motto is always: "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime" :o)

I think if you've physically purchased the cd, and something has happened to the cd, then yes, downloading a song or two is fine. Considering you've already paid the asking price for the whole cd.
