lets face it we all moan about people who have children without having money to raise them... but if no-one was able to make tons of profit out of food, clothing and housing then surely everyone would be better off, jobs would be more evenly paid and everyone would be able to afford what they needed..
anyone agree?

You will never have enough money to raise your children. Sacrifice is part of parenting. You give up everything for your kids.

Communism - nice idea, but open to abuse. During the Soviet period there was a wonderful Polish saying, among the factory workers:

"You pretend to pay us and we will pretend to work."

If everything is provided by the state, as you are sugesting, then there is no incentive for development. If everything you produce is owned by the state, why produce anything worth while.

Ideology assumens that we are able to achieve the ideal. We can not. It is the curse of the human condition.

Sorry, but you will be stuck with the haves/have nots for a while yet and as long as people have not, people will always make money out of the inequality.

There would be no encouragement to work hard and be productive members of society if a bum is paid as much as a Doctor, Lawyer, Businessman, etc because why would you work hard and make the sacrifices you have to in order to succeed if everyone is equal.

Nope. People, as they behave right now and have behaved for centuries, respond to a concept of higher authority, whether it be trying to climb that pryamid, or just being secure in the knowldege that you have people up there making the hard desicions for you.

Communisim, whether it be genius or crap, doesn't work. People, at the moment at least, just aren't built to live in total equality.

I'll leave you with a quote that describes you perfectly.
