Would like to go for a ski holiday and New Year's party with friends to a ski resort in France or Austria. Any advice on the best parties and skiing in these countries? Going to fly from London.
thanks!

In Austria, try St. Anton am Arlberg, Ischgl, or Soelden for great skiing and partying.

You can fly to Salzburg or Innsbruck, but Innsbruck is closer.

St. Anton am Arlberg is the most accessible. It's one hour by train from Innsbruck and there are frequent connections.

Book early!

The only thing French about Apres Ski is the name. Austria has the best partying by far and there's plenty of great skiing to choose from. For NYE try St Anton.

Both have phenomenal skiing, yet in France you'll eat better. If you're going to party, you'll want some delicious finger food and pastries, for that go to Haut Savoie, Grenoble area. Once there check out Mont Blanc.
