automatically restart. what is the cause. pls help

I bet the problem is the default settings in your MOBO have the memory slots set as in-lin memory modules. Make sure that you biggets memory stick is in slot one and if you have different size memory sticks be sure that you put the other one in slot 3 if you have that many slots so it will know that they are not DIMM. Also go
start / control panel / performance and maintenance / system
and see if the RAM is even being recognized under the general tap computer section. If not its junk.

The memory stick may not be compactiable. The best kind is Kingston or Crucial.

sounds like you have a defective stick of ram or a conflict between the two sticks .....run memtest to check if there are any defects with the ram
