PS. I do love it when a women has taken the time and applied flawless make-up. They don't have to of course but it makes them look just that little bit more beautiful.

God yeah I love it! Its like when you were a kid and you used to pinch your mums to feel grown up, but now you can buy your own its great, I love any excuse to try something new make upwise, tonight for example Im going to a Haloween fancy dress as a bad fairy and cant wait to mess in my make up box.
I also think its a way to express your self as as an indvidual, much like clothes are. Im well know for different cloured eyeshadows, and i have really long lashes natuarally so I love putting loads of mascara on to make them extra long and curly.
I would never say its a chore and I get up at 6.15 every day to get to work! Not to trowel on the make up mind you I work far away from home! It takes me bot 15 mins of a morning normally, its just at the weekend it takes longer so I can have a play around! Im just a big kid really woohoo! Bring on the fun!
Mind you I would have fun in a broom cupboard me!!

It really depends on WHY the women is applying make - up. For some it can be a chore as their boyfriends / fiance / husband practically demand it. Though for many women it is a way to be creative and look good. Looking good means feeling good which is a very important factor in any ones life male or female.

NO, It's not a chore, we do it because we love it and it enhances our beauty which makes us feel great but on the other hand we can also go without make-up and still look good. Did you know that men also use make-up these days?

I love applying make up for a night out but hate applying make up for things like going to work

That depends alot on when you are doing it.
With me, for example, in the morning when you really just want to go back to bed it is a chore. Which is why I hardly wear make up in the daily life. When going out it is fun! As you are then awake and can take your time.

It's just one of the things we do without thinking about it, like laundry and doing the dishes and all the other stuff we do. Only difference is that we look and feel better afterwards (or at least those who don't overdo it).
Personally I don't usually wear much makeup so if I don't feel like it, I don't so it's not a chore.

I could see how some women feel it is a chore, but I love it! Its like my own little way to play dress up still even thoug i am a mom of two young girls. I like to play with different styles and looks. I also like to make makeup. With minerals, it my hobby.

Some people like applying it and can do it in a flash - sometimes without a mirror (i'd have me eyes out). Personally, I don't wear it unless i want to take the shine off me face (for photos), or to make me eyes look pretty when i go out - when I can be bothered.

Parts are a chore, parts are fun. Doing the foundation-concealer-powder part and making it look like it isn't there isn't much fun. But doing anything with color is, I love to experiment with it and do different things, the only thing I can paint is my face ;)

I dont wear make up because it is addictive. Once you start wearing it its hard to stop without feeling like you need it and this is sad. People look like monsters when they are without it and they have worn it for so long. Example: Hogan's wife. Why dont people love their skin for what it is? All these women on here complaining that putting on make up is a chore? tsk, tsk, tsk. Why waste your time and money?
