No. Capital punishment will prove as a threat to destructive minded people. Only such criminals should worry about the punishment as far as we trust justified use of it.

Capital punishment has failed to act as the deterrent it is supposed to be. Crimes have not lessened, but increased in India where capital punishment is in force. So what is its use? European countries at large have gradually discovered the uselessness of it and done away with it altogether. So what prevents us from doing the same?

Not at all. Capital Punishment gives states a right to kill akiller. This works as a deterrant to crime.

Enough of Laws...you don't need to eradicate, amend and pass new laws....
You only need to implement what is on the shelves.
What use is the Gun of , if the person against whom you hold it knows that is not Loaded.

you have asked this question other way as can india punish any one . i think it is not possible in india where politicians are higher than the judiciary.

yes, if we can't give life we have no right to take it.besides this interpretation of crime and law is not always right.
