Yesterday my toddler was eating chocolate cake and grape juice in the carpet he wanted a ball so he ran and accidentally dropped the cake and the juice in the carpet. I have tried scrubbing it out but it does not work. What can i use? I never had a stain problem before.

Hi
I would recommend using a wet vac and slowly pour hot water on the spot and vacuum it up at the same time (this will open up the dye ports on the carpet fibre releasing the stain. and remove the residue from the carpet). If the stain is still visible than use a little carpet spotter on it. The stain may come back in a few days so you may have to do this a few times. Please DO NOT put anything on the carpet that was not made for carpet. At this point if the stain is still there please call a carpet cleaner. What I have suggested will not lock the stain in.

I use a product called Capture and it is awesome! It even took out charcoal out of my white rug. They use it in rug stores to clean stuff and it is a very cool moist powder you just sprinkle on brush in and vacuum up. I buy it at home depot, sears or Menard's, it is more costly than some others but it really works and a little goes a very long way. I promise you will be amazed at it, plus it works on furniture, drapes, I have even used it on a few laundry problems just to see if it would work and it did.
