YES !! It is possible. Providing everything is in place. Has your purchaser a mortgage arranged ? If not, this will take time. Has your purchaser arranged a survey ? If not, this it ime consuming. Have Local searches been instigated ? Is Insurance in place ? On your part, have you somewhere to go ? Can you move quickly. You really need to plan things in advance. Perhaps I was lucky - I had a CASH buyer, with nothing to sell. He had arranged surveys and searches well in advance. I was moving into rented accommodation. From acceptance to completion took ONLY 3 weeks. It can be done - BUT must stress, forward PLANNING is required. GOOD LUCK and all the very best.

I was a first time buyer and was told it would be super fast as neither of us were in a chain but it still took 3 months and I got into mine on 05/12/2005. The offer was accepted at the end of September the same year.

It depends: If there is no financing, no HOA to contact, then the sale could be completed as soon as title insurance can be obtained (which I would guess could be done in 10 working days).
With financing (and the buyer is a good customer with the bank), then 30 days is possible.
In most cases, the hang up is the financing.

It depends, normally about 8 - 12 weeks. But we have just bought a house and it has been 13 weeks and we havn't even exchanged yet, so it really depends. Make sure you have a good solicitor - that was my big mistake! lol

It took me six weeks from the day the offer was accepted and was in a week before Christmas. There was no chain and we got our mortgage sorted straight away.
One thing to watch is how slow solicitors can be, you end up having to ring them every other day to check they are on top of things as you are just one of many clients they are working for.
Good luck.

someone i know who was in your position moved in a month. i moved within 10 weeks and there was a chain of about 4 houses. if your solicitors move fast and the searches come back quick for the buyers then there's no reason why you shouldn't move within 6 weeks.

It depends on a multitude of things.
a) the size of the chain.
b) the speed of the solicitors
c) the speed of the estate agency
d) if there are two estate agencies are involved or if you are buying from the same one as you are selling through.
The biggest tip that can be given is to keep a regular eye on yout Estate Agents and Solicitors, and if need be badgering them with regular phone calls to make sure they remember you and ge the job done.
