It would soon go to best of three, then best of five, then best of eleven, and then there'd be war. So they just left the whole coin-flipping thing out.

Suppose it comes up in favor of war? Flipping a coin is no way to settle things, Sanity and reason must take over.

I would rather have them talk it out because soon enough they might just say lets share the land . but your way is good too, i mean like they put peoples lives in danger and they die, those people have familys! its so mean how they do that and so sad. your right they should just flip a coin or at least let the presidents talk it out, at least no one will doe if they do that.

I should come up to you on the street and say "I was going to mug you but let's flip a coin to see if I can get your stuff. Heads I get all the stuff you have on you tails you get away. This way no one gets hurt"

I would hope you would tell me to pound sand and get away.

Not very practical and completely useless. If someone steals something from you and you see him do it, would you ask for a coin flip?

You have to let go of the coin to toss it. Those who war would never let go of the coin, that piece of gold, long enough to give it a toss.

Well, I certainly wouldn't want the outcome of a war decided on such a random event. I think they should fight virtual wars on computers and decide who wins on the most likely scenarios.

Every country on earth has entire monolithic war machines that are spoiling to be put to use. Our sterling leaders cannot disappoint these fine men whose life is an economy, a culture, a planetary system unto itself, dedicated to war.

Coz sooner or later one guy will like deliberately flip it into the face of the other, then the other guy will pick it up and throw it at the first guy, and.....you know how this story goes...punch-kick- stab- bang- boom!!!
