1. Bodo Illgner played for Real madrid(1996-2000), helping them to a Champions League title in 1998. He was a former German football goalkeeper, who backstopped West Germany to the 1990 FIFA World Cup title. He became the first goalkeeper to keep a clean sheet in a World Cup final.
No notable Current player plays for Real madrid or barca.
The reason being german league becomes more strong game-wise and financialy too during last decade.

Breitner is one of only four footballers to have achieved the feat of scoring in two different world cup final matches, sharing that honour with Pele, Vava, and Zidane. He achieved this in 1974 against the Netherlands and in 1982 against Italy. Breitner managed this, despite playing a predominantly defensive role.

Uli Stielike showed up in 42 internationals with West Germany from 1975 to 1984 and won the 1980 UEFA European Football Championship and the runner-up medal at the 1982 FIFA World Cup.
