1. Cleanliness is important, so keep all blackheads clean. Use an unperfumed cleanser twice a day to wash the effected areas. Don't use strong soaps -- your skin needs a certain amount of oils to function properly.
2. Most over the counter treatments for blackheads contain benzoyl peroxide, which is an antibacterial agent. You can use benzoyl peroxide on your skin (sparingly to begin with) to treat your acne. It will dry out the skin and a surface layer of dead skin will soon be shed. This will make it more difficult for pores to become blocked, which will discourage future infection.
3. Finally, don't believe that fatty foods cause blackheads, They don't. Chocolate is not a cause either. And dirt has nothing whatsoever to do with the formation of blackheads, so don't scrub your skin vigorously; it will only make things worse. So, "how do I get rid of blackheads?" you may ask. You can, but it's better to take measures to prevent them in the first place.

Sweat! Find the time to excercise for 20 - 30 minutes a day at a rate that has you sweating. After you are finished use an extremely gentle cleanser with warm water and rinse by splashing with warm water then gently removing excess water and residual cleanser with a soft cloth. Finally splash face with cool to cold water to tighten pores. It is important to cleanse as soon as possible after your workout. The sweat naturally pushes impurities from the pores as well as increasing blood circulation to the capillaries in the face which will aid in keeping skin healthy and building new fresh skin cells. This regimine not only works better than any cleansers, scrubs and medications it also helps to save money on all those items. Facial scrubs should be used no more than every 2 weeks and moisterizers only on areas that tend to be excessively dry. Eye creams are always useful, however,as the delicate eye area has no oil glands. Over using exfoliants and facial scrubs will only dry your skin causing it to naturally produce more oils to compensate. Also, check your diet. I found that when I increased my dairy intake, I would have increased incidents of blackheads and breakouts.

Wash with warm water and soap/face cleanser several times a day (at least twice but any time dirty, greasy or sweaty). Keep hair out of your face because it leads to an oily face. Don't touch your face a lot (resting your head in your hands or just wiping your face with your hands)

Makeup tends to clog up pores.
There are facial scrubs that will clean out the pores. Apricot Scrub is a good one.
You can give yourself a facial. Avon sells some different kinds of facials.
