Why are younger adults like me tend to care less about this reality? It seem all life is about now are all for selfish reasons.

How do you raise awareness? How do you educate others who will become leaders of our nations? If they don't care now, will they care later on in life?

This saddens me. I wish there's something more I can do to help educate younger people like myself... to make them care enough about the future of all these children and their families.

This all stems from The Thatcherite me me me generation.
Also the breakdown of the family unit and the breakdown of community.
Also the less desirable side of pop culture. Sadly you can't help other young people to be caring. If all they see in the world is grab grab grab then that is what they think is normal behaviour. And you are right to worry about future generations.
As for our politions and the Royals. What sort of role models are they?

you have a very valid point...but just because you don't see the younger adults who will become the next generation of leaders...doesn't mean that they are not there...it just means that you can't see them...
