If sex is such a natural phenomenon how come there are so many books on how to?

Because we have progressed a long way from merely having sex to procreate. No one needs a book to tell them how to make a baby, however sex is so much more than that (at least for some people it is) and some of the things we do are far from natural and serve no purpose other than pleasure. Books can help us to bring our partners to new hights of pleasure that we otherwise may never have found.

My guess would be... while sex in general (the basics) does come natural to us the rest may not. What I mean by "the rest", well, without getting to graphic let me ask you this, did you learn everything you know about sex naturally (on your own) or was it a friend, family member, etc., that may have told you, taught you or explained to you that certain something about it that you didn't discover or know on your own?
Anyway, that would be my guess to why there are so many "how to" books out there. No one man or woman knows everything therefore there will always be something to learn and what a great subject it is to study.

Well, not for everyone I guess. People focus too much on this sex and it became a big business.
We do not need books or anyone to tell us about sex. When
there is the real love, you do not need a chart or a list of suggestions to teach you the most natural thing in the world.
Of course, if the above situation is not with the heart but only instinct then you might need the help of a book.

Two reasons. First, much of our upbringing and society has obscured our natural instincts which causes us to question our impulses. Second, it's human nature to believe that no matter how good something is, it could be better. We are always looking for the next best thing.

Because there's a lot of people who are embarrased by sex and give thier children the most insane fears and so on, it's to help them.

This is an art like any other art and hence there are many books. you know what . we human being has a great attraction towards this. also being an only thinking animal this is essential.

its not just sex its also about protecting yourself against so many diseases that are rising up to destroy the population.So many people are carefree abut sex today we have to take a stand and be wise and condomise
