We'll get the sack won't we?

Kate Moss is an anorexic clothes horse with the intelligence of a cheese sandwich BUT the whole cocaine thing was an exercise in scapegoating and trial by media. I am a professional video editor and I do a lot of client liaison in the advertising/corporate video world and on a good day I will be offered cocaine a dozen times. If every model/agent/editor/fashion journalist who did cocaine was sacked there would be about three people left in the industry. Look, the fashion industry is rotten to the bone - corrupt, venal, mean-spirited, nasty, vacuous and cruel, just like the people in it. It is also permenantly stoned off it's tyttes. During Fashion Week the Metropolitan Police Drug Squad tested the flattop surfaces in the bathrooms of the buildings in use by the fashionistas for cocaine. Every single one of the tests came back positive - every last one of them. Make no mistake, too - the fashion industry is no different from film, television and advertising. Cocaine is ubiquitous, regarded as a perfectly normal part of the scene. Non-users (like me) are regarded with amusement and an almost maternal concern, as if we were doing something weird. You'd better believe that Kate Moss knows where the bodies are buried, too. Who is going to fire a money making clothes horse for scooping a few kilos of Columbian dancing sherbet up her nose when they've been doing the exact same thing - and when sweet li'l innocent Katie knows all about it. Imagine the headlines, hmm?

Have you ever heard of the phrase: "There's no such thing as bad publicity"? This clearly applies to Kate Moss. She's always had that edgy look that the modelling world seems to love (remember her "heroin chic" stage?). I read in the newspaper the other day that this year Kate Moss has raked in more money than any other year of her career. And that's after several fashion houses dropped her! She's not the only model/actress/singer to do drugs and she won't be the last. The noteriety of the druggie flea-ridden rocker boyfriend and her stay in rehab has actually boosted her career. It's mad and unfair because as you said if this happened to you or me we'd get sacked and more than likely end up in jail AND lose our kids to social services. Funny how no one seemed that concerned about her little girl Lila. *sigh* Like I said..madness!

Kate Moss is better looking than all the girls on here who are slagging her off. FACT.

Who do you think is right on this one? The whole of the fashion world or a few dweebs on this site?

Cocaine use is rife in the fashion, film and tv and music industries. People that come into contact with her know this and empathise with her situation. These are very different worlds to your tragic little office jobs, different rules apply.

Im so bored of some peoples blanket response to drugs. MOST people you admire in the media have used cocaine. She was just unlucky.

Her recent drugs incidents have given her notoriety and notoriety sells. She is now an even more valuable commodity.

To summarise. Kate Moss = Lives in a lovely home in a lovely part of London. Is exceptionally beautiful. Is exceptionally successful. Is exceptionally rich. You try doing any better.

Stop being so niave. Have a toot!

I do and i've still got my job. Kate Moss isi'nt the most beautiful but she's different, that's why most models get a contract. Not just because they are amazingly beautiful. You will find most models have done or do do drugs and that they aren't such a pretty picture without make up on.

Because she is a fashion icon, because designers love her, because she hardly ever gives interviews and so has retained an air of mystery, because she is incredibly beautiful and because it would be amazingly hypocritical of both the advertising and fashion industries to condemn someone for using drugs.

She is Kate Moss, regardless of anything she has done in her personal life, she is a British fashion icon and should be treated as such.

There are hundreds of people who have openly admitted to taking drugs and are still doing so who have kept their careers eg. George Michael is a good case right now, George Best is on bank notes despite destroying himself with alcohol. No one cares all that much anymore I'm afraid.

you obviously never worked in any kind of entertainment industry or bar work for that matter. Not saying it's fair but some types of jobs have different tolerances. If you work in a nightclub or with musicians no-one is going to bat an eyelid if you smoke the odd joint or take a line of coke. Same goes for the modelling world. Just one of those things society accepts. The world is full of hypocrisy, some model taking a bit of coke should be the least of anyone's worries.

As mentioned before she still has commercial value, unfortunately the world we live in measures value in tabloid column inches, as she is no stranger to controversy she generates a lot of interest from the press. Not a bad thing if you can associate your product with her face. The world now revolves on controversy, how many good stories make the news? How many good honest people get on without the press trying to slur their good image? We have to face that we love our celebrities to be human just like us!! Also if Kate is ugly can all the men answering this question please send in pictures of their partners!!

Money begets more money no matter whether you are on drugs or just a whore, some company will pay to have you as there figurehead, just look at Jordan aka Katy Price, be seen enough times with your t.ts out or make a porn film and they will be clamoring at your door

Kate Moss is one of the few people that really annoy me,she seems to think that she is a law unto herself, she gets away with drug taking, charges of drug posession are just pushed under the carpet due to the money splashed around by the companies that have her under contract, after all they don't want any bad publicity. The woman isn't exactly a role model for young girls who want to be models, but when all is said and done, money talks really loud.I read somewhere that she and her boyfriend have got engaged, congratulations to them both, they deserve each other!
