What's Your Opinion On The New BBC 1 series of Robin Hood?

I'm sort of undecided on it. Some of the action is pretty cool but it just seems so cheesy. Keith Allen hams it up big time as the sheriff and how come Marion has suddenly become a butt kicker?! I suppose they're trying to be original with a story that has already been told many times but I can't work out if it works or not. I don't think it will be one of those classic series' but I'll keep watching it until I get a life and actually have something to do on a Saturday.
