well you'll never have a snowy winter there, but it's not exactly hot and sunny either.. it's pretty cold and foggy, i'd say about 10-15 degrees Celcius..

went to Egypt in December a few years ago and the waether was quite good. It was much cooler towards the north in Cairo, but still sunny. Aswan and Luxor, further south, were much warmer and we had a few hot days. On average it was 22-26 degrees (english summer weather!). We also went over to the Hurghada by the Red Sea - it was hot enough to sunbathe.

Evenings and early morning do get much colder so definitely take a warm jumper with you. I doubt you'd need a coat though.

Hope this helps! Its an amazing country, you'll have a great time!

soooo cold, but it never snow here
it feels like freezing to the egyptians, because we're used to the hot weather most of the year.
but for westerns, it feels a bit cold, as they are used to their very cold weather.
for example, u cant compare the coldest weather here in Egypt to the slightly cold in Canada:)
