Think gooey and juicy. how bout anything BBQ's or if you can find a restaurant that serves Sloppy Joes. Corn on the cob is good, the juice squirts out of the kernels. Beef or chicken kabobs, you'll have to use your hands to pull the meat off the stick if it's stuck.

Ribs definitely there is a great restaurant in Soho called Bodeans on Poland street that does awesome ribs (sorry don't know SW London too well).

Greek food, eat at the Greek Vine in Esher or Horsham great food and slippy! Lots of plates smashing and dancing great fun and very relaxed.

A chocolate fountain is always good to disguise messy eating. It drips all over the place, hence the messy part, plus it tastes nice and is a briliant way to bring people together. Also good with red wine.

it has got to be singapore chilli crab cos the sauce and the shell goes everywhere.
if you have prawns as well (a separate dish) you will have a pile of prawn shells and heads, that looks extremely messy
