I'm thinking a 'goofball' is in them...mixture of Barbituates and Amphetamines....(is as close to natural endorphines that are released in the human body during a climax as has ever been developed) That's why Scooby always says his name in an ever rising tone....

My first guess would be weed.. But i am sure 20 other people will say that. I think they were like Rice cakes, and they really tasted like cardboard. That's why they were always hungry.. They still ate them because, they want to be perceived as lazy and paranoid in order to solve the mystery off camera.
