Some have back or side zips/ buttons, basically so we can get them on and off over our bums

The front is easier to work with than the back.

The back design implies it was designed with a man's help to open implied.

Let's face it, watch a woman try and undo a back locked bra. She struggles. It's much easier when a man undoes it for her.

Some women have a habit of "pulling out of it" and turning it around to unhook it.

This is probably because men design most of the clothings. It's a wonder they didn't make the bra with a combination lock!

Guys have problems unbuttoning and unzipping in the dark with it in front. Hence it's much easier when you can see it. The last time I looked, women didn't have eyes on the back of their heads!

Side zippers were a neat idea.

Let's face it, a zipper up front on a dress is very sex. All guys think about is lifting that tab and unzipping her.

Putting it on the back of dresses, that definate makes it someone else's job and it's a man who usually gets that job.

Not that I object, mind you. It's one of the perks of being a husband, unzipping and unhooking or zipping and hooking her up!

Now, in front is definately also a defensive measure.

Girls, traditionally don't object nearly as much to a man doing things behind her back as up front. It's a tradition for a man to work his hands downword to see what a woman's reaction will be, do that up front and you'll get slapped! Do that in back and play with the zipper and all she'll do is talk you out of it or just play with you. I mean you're looking into her eyes, not putting your hands way down under in front!

I have zips on mine - flies just land wherever they feel they don't realise they are Your trousers - just be forgiving they only have a teeny weeny brain.

With alot of materials you can't use elastic so they use a zip/button/velcro or whatever.
Elasticated waists aren't very flattering anyway!!
