No question Billy Joel, his music has spanned 4 decades and is various from bluegrass to classical, he actually writes his own songs(very few do this today) and he writes only from the heart if he does not feel it, he does not record it. Most "artists" release a record every year or so to keep the money rolling in or to stay in the spotlight, if you look at his career they are spaced apart every few years or so.

You will like this, Emily Hains, she's so great I just love her music, found her on Conan O'Brian, she was singing in a band called metric, but she's got a solo career and does lots of stuff, check her out

right now i like JT! and his new song and video ft. TI called "My Love"! i like JT as an artist more than before because this CD-his latest one-is awesome! it is a sweet sour or fast slow combo! the songs have a slow and a fast version-some of them like "Lovestoned" which is so good! i like the fact that he took the time to make this CD so unlike him and so unexpected to his listeners and create a fusion of sounds that is unique. i like the different alternative songs and the slow ones too but "My LOve" is still my favorite and I have the ringtoneon my cell! oh yeah, plus his videos are awesome too and everything off this CD is so addictive like you can never get enough of hearing it!

so many, its so hard to list them all... heres a few examples of each... i listen to heavy metal (metallica, iron maiden), rock (guns n' roses, nickelback), blues (nina simone, billy holiday) classical (rachmaninov, elgar, ravel), acoutics (john mayer, eric clapton), indie (nirvana, stone roses), and other bands like the chilis, muse, artic monkeys, rage against the machine, the kinks, simon and garfunkel, the hollies... the list goes on... and thats only a fraction of what i like!
