This would be my short list, calculus, money (The invention of a good medium of exchange), quantum mechanics (I still don't get it but we can do some pretty neat things with it), the printing press, paper, writing, and the Internet. I know some of the things I wrote might be considered developments instead of inventions, but that's my short list.

i think the most important one was done by well most likely the stupidest peopl. that would be when the cave man invented the wheel.

Anything by Tesla, if it went for him we wouldn't be seeing or hearing at this moment, or conversing. The man changed our whole world., yet little recognition is given to him ,and to tell you, well that would take that curious learning experience away from you now. Have fun
