The original meaning of "tosser" or "toss-pot" was a person who drank far more that was good for him. "I don't give a toss" meant something was worth less than the price of a drink. Today the meaning has degenerated to a person who masturbates or is worthless.

Someone from the UK on answers blasted me for a question I asked, basically because I talk that way being from the southern USA. I used the slang word "ya'll". I had to laugh because ya'll say things like "tosser", "wanker" etc. Anyway tosser, I will leave you to find your answer. ;)
