anything about the avatars clothing? No matter what you put on them they look bulimic. No one wants to be THAT thin do they? Who do you think is on the design team for these outfits? If you go to the plus sizes to dress your avatar, you then become stumpy and the clothes are tasteless. What is the deal?

I just try to pick one that stands just right to make me look like I am close to being an average size. Yes, the shoes do seem rather strange looking.... it is the angle at which they sit them.

Mr. Holland,
The net is fantasy land for me..... not real life even though I know the people are real and some of the problems. If I wanted a personal conversation I would talk to the people around me. LOL

you know what the deal is mandy
yahoo thrives off of the insecurity that it can
inflict at the subliminal level, effectively reducing
the weight of americans at a rapid rate
soon yahoo will send diet pills with new email accounts
meanwhile men across the nation will set
new ideals for the appropriate weight in
accordance with the slim, cute, avatars that
have won our hearts over. didnt you get the memo?
so mandy, is yer, um, avatar single?
she's awfully attractive, and so slim....

I posted a similar question a while back, and I complained about it - it's everywhere!! Models, on TV, films and now avatars too!!!
What makes anyone think that people with curves are frumpy and tasteless???
It's probably men who design the avatar clothes, because although they profess to prefer curvy women, when there are male designers, they always design clothes for a skinny figure.
That's why I changed to a photo of me in my avatar - I'm curvy and rounded, and wearing a bikini and looking very un-frumpy!! So there, Yahoo! and all the rest of them who want to trun us into stick insects!
I agree totally! Get a cute photo up, and show them what you're made of!
;-)

You are absolutely right. I've seen guys hitting on girls because they love their avatars. A guy e-mailed my girlfriend and said he thinks she is sexy because of her avatar. Strange. I wish we were able to do more with them. But I think it will get better and better. When I first created my avatar I didn't wear a single outfit that they showed. Now it's pretty close. But I've always wondered why I could never get a full goatee for mine. Oh well. Good question.

The deal is that Yahoo workers are highly under payed people,so they don't care what your avatar looks like. They just throw a pile of stuff together.
ON the other hand:why hide behind an avatar:are you all afraid of getting recognized?

I've noticed that. My ex was 42ddd but her avatar made her out to be a kate moss lookalike or something! I guess it's too much programming to give them curves or the guys beer bellys or 6 packs!
