Not if everything has been brought to each other's attention. It's generally easier for me to let them get their thoughts in last, whether I'm "right" or "wrong". Sometimes the last thing a person says undercuts their whole argument and the person regrets saying it.
In my experience, most arguments are debatable and aren't clear cut. Gender has nothing to do with "winning" arguments. No one "wins" if conflicts aren't properly resolved.

You know... I'm a very impulsive person, so my vain nature tells me that if I don't get the last word in everything, then I'm defeated. I usually tend to want to dominate in an argument, but lately I've been trying to restrain myself. Sometimes, I just shut up and let whoever I'm arguing with argue by themselves. And when I look back and I see him or her standing there speechless and angrier than before, I calm down and realize that I should have reorganized my 'battle' strategy sooner.

As I told you before arguements spice up life ,but no matter what should be resolved the same day.To me it is not important who has the last "say"to end it.It is more a matter of knowing when to stop.
Give in a little.
It helps.

Yes.
When a man and a woman argue, the woman always gets the last word.
Anything the man says after that is the beginning of the next argument.

no, I do not get into arguments. If a situation is getting heated I usually say "Why don't you get back to me when you have calmed down a bit, and then we can talk about this like adults." I used to argue all the time, but I discovered it was a total waste of time.

Yes - even if my last word is just "Hah!" When I'm proved right.
*I never start an argument unless I know I'm right - if by chance one day I am proved wrong, my bf will tease me endlessley*
(But I'll still have the last word!)
;-)

Yes, and it's a horrible habit. Now my 9-year-old daughter is the same way. You should hear our arguements......they go on and on and on and on........

Yup. The only problem is when I argue with my nephew. He's just as bad as I am!
