Why? That's not answerable, I'm afraid. Your creativity is blocked somehow, and it could have so many reasons that it would take hours to find answers. You need to return to your creative flow, and that can take some time. Most writers I know of, simply sit behind their computer and force themselves to write. Maybe it won't be too profound what they write, but they get into a flow that way, and can always delete their entries later on.
You could also try to find as many perspectives of your story as possible, in a way that resembles a brainstorm. Just write down as much as you can about the subject you are stuck with, don't care if it's fitting or right, or nice, just blurt it out. Ways to change your perspectives can be: make something larger, make something smaller, switch things, remove aspects or things, put in random things. Try to be as ridiculous as you can. Try not to continue the story, but to put it out of balance. Later on you can try to find the balance again, but right now you need more input. Well, no input is better then the ridiculous.
Good luck

Why do you indeed? There is a reason for writer's block. It's your subconcious telling you something isn't right with this story. I have to know the point of my story, why am I writing it. wht am I trying to prove. If you look at R.L Stine's books they all have the same premise, point, If kids don't listen they're going to be in big trouble. Then he goes on to prove that premise. See, he knows his ending is going to be bad for the kids, they didn't listen, they got into trouble, they paid for this trouble, now the book has to follow along these lines.
Also GMC- goal motivation, conflict of your characters, this is what they're doing and why, and then you tell us the story based on that.
Take a break, fresh air is best, it clears the brain. Then go back to your story, and type. Leaving too long a break isn't going to help. Try www.eharlequin.com it's a romance site but there are tons of articles on how to build a story and from there it's endless. LOts of pubbed writers, and struggling ones ready to help too.

howdy there, i will sympathize with you; it quite is befell to me. One approach that could artwork for you is this: Make your self a catalogue of five to 10 diverse words (would not remember which of them you employ) Then take a minute and start up writing sentences or words that contain as lots of those words as you are able to. shop on writing with out questioning too lots approximately it notwithstanding if what you write seems quite stupid - it quite is not being judged, notwithstanding it is barely to get your recommendations returned in kit. with a bit of luck, the words will flow greater quite for you returned once you get returned to notwithstanding it became that stopped you in the 1st place. Writing is relaxing so have some with it! loosen up and see in case you are able to write from a "flow of information. i've got been hassle-loose to jot down volumes like that. Write your prose in conversational speech - do no longer edit as you flow; depart the modifying for later. in case you are able to, with out having your self in a clutter, locate out from the place you left off your writing what it became (the assumption or thought) that halted you, then use that concept or a be conscious describing it in with considered one of the different words. you would be shocked at what you are able to study your self on an identical time as gaining knowledge of the thank you to interrupt the author's block. exceptionally bear in recommendations which you have a VOICE and you rejoice with using it. Goof good fortune

Stop thinking about your story and go relax with something else. It will come back to you.
The block may come from just about anything, stress, tired, too much time on one subject, etc.

Step away from the computer. No, really. You're just frustrating yourself and need to do something else to get your mind off of it.

Stick to the basics - Hero's have weaknesses, insignificant people can have secret strengths, weaklings can be accidental hero's, villians ... well, maybe they can change.
