They say that less is more, so what is to be gained by having less of more or in other words, more of less?

There can be a lot of different interpretations to that. I am a guitarist and sometimes I find that one note played in precisely the right manner and in the right place can be more effective than a dozen or so. Also, if you have fewer possesions you tend to own what you have rather than what you have owning you. I hope that has made some sense.

Hard to explain. It depends on the situation. Like when someone is trying to learn how to play tennis. They most always swing the racket too hard or run past where the ball is going to land. They are trying too hard. That's where less would be more. Their game would improve if they did less. When people find that indispensable minimum needed for the situation, it always works better than trying too hard or dumping too much so it bogs everything down. That's it - more or less. Getting off the subject. You've heard of mind over matter? If you don't mind, it doesn't matter. (HA)

I think the idea is that if you have less of something, you will appreciate it more. Like, if you had a big turkey dinner every day it would be pretty boring, but just having it once or twice a year around the holidays makes it a treat. Also, think about somebody like a buddhist monk; they have very few possesions and a very plain life, but they are very happy and have a rich, happy existence.

Hoarding is a substitute for your mother's body. If you have Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Hoarding, you are in danger of living in trash, never working, and never doing anything at home.
