an egg is something inside a shell, right ? so I guess without shell, there's no egg... Let me think, that's a tricky question ...
when I break an egg to make an omelette (for example), the egg fall in the dish, and the shell is still in my hands.
so let's say that the egg came first in the dish (and in my stomach), and the shell came first in my garbage bin.
They both came first, but not in the same place. problem solved.

Both come out together. But inside the egg came first.Inside the eggs develop without a shell, and before coming out its cell membrane hardens to form a shell.

The egg came first. Lots of species have eggs without shells - look at frogspawn in a pond, for example. Turtles lay eggs with leathery shells, unlike the hard shells that birds have evolved.

The shell is part of the egg, having functions comparable to the ones of the skin of a body (protection, assimilation, exchange). So what do you suppose came first : Your body or your skin?

typo?
The egg came before the chicken
The shell came before the egg because the egg is technically a shell before it is fertilized. They just call it an egg.
